How do I know when I have achieved the correct valve train geometry?
The correct valve train geometry is achieved when the rocker arm tip rolls from the intake side of the valve tip, across the center of the tip (at approximately mid-lift), to the exhaust side of the valve tip (at full lift) and back. See diagram A.

What series COMP Cam® pushrod should I use for my application?
COMP Cams® manufactures six series of pushrods: High Energy™, Magnum, Hi-Tech™, Dual Taper, Straight Tube, and custom pushrods. Each series is available in different lengths, end types and diameters.
High Energy™ Your best pushrod choice when building an engine for your street rod, RV or daily driver, High Energy™ series are manufactured to meet or exceed all original equipment specifications.
Magnum Designed to withstand the stresses of a high performance engine, these .080” wall chromemoly pushrods undergo a special heat-treat process for extended durability. The affordable Magnum series is ideal for street performance and mild race applications.

Hi-Tech™ This one-piece design features .080” wall seamless chromemoly tubing, ensuring the ultimate in strength and durability for your serious street performance and race engine. Hi-Tech™ pushrod ends are precision formed, yielding added thickness in the critical tip area for strength, while maintaining constant wall thickness and concentricity.
Dual Taper One of COMP Cams® newest designs, these pushrods utilize a .125” thick wall and feature a unique dual taper for strength and lightweight construction. Dual Taper pushrods incorporate special steel alloy and a 210-degree tip for an increased load bearing surface area and increased performance. These .125” wall pushrods are recommended for racing and high performance applications.
Straight Tube These 7/16” .125” wall pushrods are another new design offered by COMP Cams®. Ultra-rigid, large diameter and high-strength material is used to avoid the harmful valve train vibrations that occur when smaller diameter pushrods “snap back” into position.
Custom Pushrod Kits All the components you need to assemble your own custom pushrods are included in this complete kit. Some engine families such as Chryslers have so many variations year-to-year in pushrod length, end type, and diameter that it is sometimes hard to locate the correct pushrod. COMP Cams® offers these semi-finished kits to provide high quality pushrods for custom application.
